Too cold to train
« on: February 05, 2007, 05:21:14 PM »
I usually workout at 6am and there are usually a few people around. But this morning it was 9 degrees with a wind chill of -9

No one showed up...it was totally awesome, had the gym to myself.

maybe next time I will include a picture of me benching some godly amount of weight   :-*

I guess the bench's and dumbells are different at "hardcore" gyms. I bet you think puking after you squat is hardcore to?

i agree with you here, i love how these clowns act as if it's some badge of courage to train in a gym that looks like a crackhouse.

A persons attitude dictates if they train hard or not. Ronnie Coleman would be just as huge, if he trained at a well equipped "nice" gym, with the same intensity he trains with now.

I don't see a problem with the gym.... and it is sweet when there is no one else to bother you while working out

Well, that's just it. In a non-dump gym, they wouldn't let him moo like a cow at the top of his lungs every time he wanted to get psyched up.

No that long ago you'd never see that kind of good equipment in a mainstream gym.

You think if Ronnie could not moo like a cow, he counld not generate intensity? Ronnie would be just as huge, training hard, and keeping reasonably quite. It is not like you have to train silent in these places.I doubt Ronnie would not train hard if he could not moo in the gym.

Hey, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt!  If he's not doing it for intensity, what the hell is his excuse?  :)

I see your point..... I just think some put to much stock in a "hardcore" gym. Speaking of the normal public of course.

looks like an awesome gym to be honest.

this is NY and things are pricey, NYSC caters to a different crowd than Bally's

membership is $80/month, clean gym and they provide towels

I use to take one home with me every time I work out. When I moved I left about 100 in my garage  ;D

they were great for washing my car and general clean up. Use it then throw it away..I stopped that now..I have less space to store crap

I used to train at bsc out here in Boston. It was also 80 per month. I thought it was a nice gym, and it was very well equipped. Never had a problem with people telling me I grunted to loud, or made to much noise. Could be because I do not train like a total Douche ;) Seriously, they let you train, and as long as you do not act overly aggressive, no one says anthing to you. Good chain, imo.

Good looking Gym but I have a question. Since no one was there, did you strip down to your tighty whiteys a hit a few poses in the mirror?

exactly, if you yell and scream you're a moron and you don't belong in a public place, they don't let you do that bullshit anywhere else, why should a gym allow it?
