10 year creatine use
« on: February 06, 2007, 03:01:20 PM »
For anyone interested, I have stopped taking creatine supps for the past month and a half with no adverse reactions or effects.  I started taking creatine approx. 10  years ago when first introduced.  Just wanted those worried about adverse reactions when coming off (i.e. permanent shutdown of one's bodys own production).

I lost little weight (all water) and barely lost any strength.

Just a FYI for anyone interested

Would not think there would be any problems.  Might just want to taper down the dose until completely off the product.  After you start using the creatine again, you will most likely grow again.

how do you know the side effects would show up in under a month and a half?

i don't....but all the research thats out there have been mostly based on a max of 6 year usage....i'm just throwing out there that i've taken it longer and have had no side effects (at least those which i can physically feel or see)
