Highlights of Bush's 2008 Budget

Medicare and Medicaid spending reduced by $102 billion over next five years

Out-of-pocket prescription fees for veterans: Raised from $8 to $15

Food Stamps funding reduced - eliminating eligibility for an expected 300,000 recipients

Commodity Supplemental Food Program, providing food for more than 450,000 low-income seniors, completely eliminated

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act cut by $300 million

Public school special education programs cut by $3.6 billion

Sexual abstinence education funding increased by $28 million

Top-tier federal income tax rate remains 35% [During Vietnam War: 70%. During WWI: 77%. During WWII: 94%]

Applaud all you want, ...but remember, all the abstinence brain washing doesn't immediately disappear the minute you get the ring on her finger, ...it can last much much much MUCH longer.  :P
