This is obvious stuff, MM, things that wouldn't take much.  It's not about doing more and their being a problem with it, it's about being wide open and making it easy for anyone to attack us.

It's not being done properly and that's a fact.  undeniable.  And the person in charge isn't making sure of it.

Most people i know that travel including myself who travels 50k to 100k per year FFM, they don;t mind. 

Agreed, I don't mind taking my shoes off etc, and on military base you can't get within 100ft of critical buildings so I am all for it, but seriously, you blame Bush?

I'd like to hear more about that.  Can you post a link or something?  We have them crossing our boarder everyday illegally.  That seems like a National Security Crisis to me, why hasn't more been done?  The Bush Administration tried to label them as "Undocumented Workers", and he opposes the Minute Men.

Were spending $404,489,260,000+++ in the Middle East when a terrorist can walk right in our Country.  We should be spending that money where it would have some effect on our Security.  Not throwing it away in the Middle East.

"The military doesn't run smoother" is a load of shit.  When it matters - when it's a matter of nat'l security - they get shit done overnight.  Border security isn't a priority of this administratino, period.

We put in 14 permanent military bases in a hostile Iraq in 4 years, but we can't get a fence built on our OWN CITIES?  Come on dude.  Stop defending it as incompetence.  If they wanted it built, it would already be built.

We do not have 14 permanent bases in Iraq. We have tent cities. We have thousands of tents on stand by, thousands more trained to put them up. When a project such as the fence comes around, we don't have miles of material stockpiled to build a fence. So we have to put out bids (because law says we can't spend more than $2500 without bids...fact) we have to buy special equipment to support the project, again bids...fact.... then we have to engineer the fence, where is will run etc.... ( I'm guessing you haven't done much in construction bidding/planning.) this all takes time. Again they haven't been on the job more than a few months.

Oh contrare mon frare! Last summer my softball team got seperated because all of the Reservists went to the border to work security. The only problem was they were only issued radios and the law stated that the border patrol agents were the only ones allowed to detain anyone. There were literally instances where illegals were allowed to walk by because the military hands were tied and the BPA were busy. Whose fault that is? I'm not sure
