i guess that was inevitable,it's great they are getting into rock n roll hall,eddie deserves it for his awesome guitar playing,it's sad how he has become so angry .saw last sammy reunion was kinda dissapointed,show was good but you can tell they seemed to play on their own and not a lovefest like 5150 or ou812 tours.

I was talking to a buddy of mine and he said that alot of inside people in tha van halen camp think ed's bi-polar, I was fascinated by this.  If you've followed VH-specifically Ed you'd see that his personality took a major league twist circa 95ish and he's been whacked out since then...

Gotta agree with you there. He was Howard Stern a couple of months ago talking acting very aloof and evasive. He was talking about how German scientists were able to invent a cure for the form of cancer he had? And that the cancer wasn't caused by his 3 packs of Marlboro red cigarettes a day habit.

I don't remember whether it came shortly before or shortly after The Great Divide in '84. But Roth provided my favorite Ed quote when he said, "Ed doesn't read - not counting guitar magazines. It's just not a muscle he uses."

I have that interview somewhere, I honestly can't listen to it.  If you get a chance watch an interview of ed before 95 and then watch the MTV interviews from after the 96 VMA's when they talk about DAve....man, it's like 2 totally different people.

now Dave is sayin he's not gonna show and it's embarrasing to have velvet revolver perfrom VH songs.  He said "that's my 3 minutes 22 seconds there",.....just when I thought dave was growing up he says something like that.
