I believe there's a major threat to our troops OVER THERE.

Domestically, I don't know.  I know that Bush will throw foiled attacks, however logistically infeasible, in our faces to show what a great protector he is.

But I also know - I think we all know - that if they really believed there was a threat to US soil from foreign aggressors, they would have done something to close the border some.  It's as porous as it was 6 years ago, and the Republicans had ALL lawmaking power during that time.

I agree there.

historically, Americans vote democrat when they feel safe and they vote republican when they don't. 

Some people believe the republicans will "ham it up a bit" to get people a little scared, so they will vote republican.   In other words, they exaggerate the threat, to keep their jobs. 

Talking about the thousands of people dying to get into our nation to do terror acts - then leaving the entire border open - make no sense.

Bush does not have all that much support with republicans anymore. Hes a ripe target for the Impeachment trip Feingold wanted to take him on. Might still be worth it. what we got left, almost 2 yrs more?
He can still do a lot of more harm. Dont think that guy has republican support, he does not.
He's killed and maimed to many kids. People are going to spit when they say his name for decades.
Did you see his Daddy break down crying at a repub gathering not long ago?
He's fouled the party. It would be best if he and his whole gang stepped down.
