It's been estimated that internet site's like this one only get 5% to maybe 8% of actual posting from people who regularly come to them. They are the main supporters and keep any site on line. All the other thousands (and there are thousands) of hits are from people who may cruise by on a semi-regular bases.These are the lurkers. Something like talk radio, which has about the same percent ratings. You can go to Alexa.com/site/ds/top_500, or sites like that, get get an idea of top viewing pages.

Personal view is that Getbig is too bogged down by too many unneeded subjects. Could use a cut of excess fat and leaned down a bit. Trying to be a something for everyone site is not realistic. The successful, money making sites are the one's focus on a specific or narrow range of subject matter subject. Like the always reliable porn sites.
