Steve Reeves will never be forgotten. But I think you have to acknowledge that Zane at least approached that height of aestheticness while being both more muscular and more ripped. [He's an underrated poser, as well.] Even if it's a descent from poetry into mathematics, the objectivist in you recognizes that Zane is the one with the greater achievement in caucasian physique development. And, to my mind, still unsurpassed. [By comparison, Jay is just a refrigerator with strips of red meat taped to the outside.]

Zane has been open about his anabolic use. He claimed in Flex mag that he used to do 10mg d-bol daily with a 100mg shot of Primo a week. D-bol is very potent even in such small doses so I'd say his drug use accounted for at least 20lbs of his bodyweight in contest shape.

Yeah that's what they say but even with todays d-bols a tiny amount offers a huge advantage. The dosage claimed by Zane may seem tiny but the difference in the physique can be like night and day.

I've seen a bunch of guys do the same and more. A couple of guys have tried 100 tabs on a max attempt day. From a bb standpoint the effects seem to peak at about 50mg and more is just a waste from what I've seen. It's very potent at low dosages.

Drugs seem to cause water retention to a large degree. Naturals don`t ever have to worry about it.

It's well know that Frank Zane used lot's of D-bol back in the day. He liked it due to the fact that it was fast acting and short lasting making it easier to control the sides as he was more concerned with conditioning than building size. Steroids are a very versatile drugs.

I am fully agreed with you. According to my almost 20years BBing experience,I reached the conclusion that you can attain huge pro level mass with natural BBing.
But combination with super shredded glutes with super size...I have never seen a good natural BBer yet.
