I was looking through an old (really old) Muscle Media 2000 yesterday, when for some reason, still unknown to me, I started reading an interview with Eddie Robinson. The MM2K was the January 1994 issue.
Within the interview, Eddie described his workout system. He gave his chest routine as an example:
Dumbbell Bench Press - start heavy and do 6-8 reps with 150lb DBs. Immediately drop to 100lb DBs and get 10-12 more reps. Then immediately drop down to 45lb DBs and do 40 reps!
Then he takes a few minutes to rest and does the whole thing again - though with lighter weights. He said, that's how he trained each bodypart. And the article was written after he was kicked out of the IFBB, and he was drug-free.
I "tried" this, this morning. On my first 40 rep set, I only made it to 30, and I was shaking like a dog! I felt like comlete jell-o. And even though I dropped weight on the second "Triple-Drop-Set", I could barely lift anything! Complete and total muscle exhaustion.
Just curious if any of you guys have tried this kind of training, and if so, do you have any full routines laid out?
