Exactly, now prior to that, who were the people. The real question is why did it jump, what happened to create that change.

I don't blame anybody. Crime is Crime, blacks are no more violent than whites or asians. If they were then you wuold see a constant pattern throughout the 1800's to now. And there isn't one.  There was a stereotype back in the early 20th century that black men were Yella, they couldn't take a fight and wouldn't dare raise a hand (or gun)  in anger. Back then black men were Yella, now they are a danger to society? Hmmm, you see the paradox? Which is it?

all I am talking about is 1974-2004, a 30 year span dude, not the 1800s. I don't know why it has changed so much but in today's world..blacks are more violent

seems like all the numbers point to black men being more violent than white. I still thikn it is sad and not talked about enought that black on black crime is so high. I don't get that
