Anyone ever down here in South Florida? 

I go to Atlanta periodically and LA or Chicago even less often.  Luv, I did go to grad school in Chicago and have a bunch of friends there....would love to get back there.  It's just hard to get away and leave the wife when you have three small kids.

Yeah you will be dead meat if she has to take of 3 small kids by herself, but you may need a break for your sanity LOL  although the little woman probally needs the break more lol.

Chicago is OK but i like the sound of South Fl better, I spent 3 years in Homestead in the early-mid 80's.  Really liked the general area, a little north and your in Miami and a bit south the Keys.  The heat and humidity can be rough but you get used to it and there is always AC.

If you like to wake up almost every morning to clear, sunny skys and 80-90 degrees F temps then south Fl is the place.

It has it's positives, but it has it's negatives.  Personally, I like it better than the midwest simply because I can't stand the cold for very long.  I was born and raised in Florida, so cold weather isn't my thing.

Well, where i live the coldest i remember is also -30 but not Fahrenheit, CELCIUS. So you're "winters" are like our spring mornings...
That said, i get HOT very easily, but in order for me to get COLD it has to be really F cold.

Hah hah, nope, just 100 % Scandinavian, but the wheather is what it is...

One thing that does suck donkey balls is the fact, that because it is late fall/early winter. Is when i wake up it's dark and when my work day is about halfway through it's getting dark again and at the latest it's dark when i'm coming home. So pretty much the only time i see daylight is in my off days...

That is, if i bother to get up early enough, which i usually don't.

When I lived in Sacramento it was peaceful and gentle.
