I would put it this way:

If Pelosi has a higher rating than Bush, it says a lot about Bush's poor ratings.

Because Pelosi sure as hell ain't no crowd pleaser, and have zero personality or likeability.

She's getting low ratings, despite the fresh start and not having to take much of a responsibility.

Well considering that most Americans don't like to see body bags with even one dead soldier and think that war will be over quickly, it is no wonder that people are unhappy with Bush.  In a sense, this is alot like Vietnam but the Vietnam War was run by Dems until the end and they recovered and got Carter (no comment) into the Presidency.  Pelosi is just a shit disturber, nothing more or less.  She is trying to stir up trouble to get a Dem in and I'm sure many people see that and disapprove.  Personally her and her idiot sidekick just make us look weak.  Bush may not be perfect but the other side isn't going to make this nation perfect, not by a long shot.

Any stats class will tell you that media posts cannot be trusted because of this exact reason.  Gallup is probably the best poll.  I can take a poll in Orange County, CA about BUsh and then take one in Suffolk County in NY and get contrasting results because of location, location, location.

Exactly..........I have to find the poll, but I was listening to Larry Elder today and he had polls that showed the entire congress had lower polls than Bush, that tells me that people trust Bush more than the party they elected....Haha

In the same polls - Bush dropped almost HALF.

Kinda hard to argue that half the population lost support for him in the last 4 years.

You can try - you can try to say they only ask libs questions.  But does that mean that 70% of libs supported Bush in 2003, but only 28% of libs support him now?  You either admit that he lost a LARGE chunk of support... or you now have to somehow convince us that the polling organizations are in on some big conspiracy to smear Bush.... and you better have some evidence to make that claim.

A LOT less people support bush now.  It's okay to admit that.  Prostate exams aren't popular either, but they're necessary, and I wouldn't feel the need to deny polls saying 90% of men DON"T like a finger up their ass.

 Congressional Approval Rating Barely Above Bush's

According to the RealClearPolitics.com average, President Bush's approval rating is 35.6% with 59.1% disapproval. Not great.

However, the Congress which now insists that everything it does is the "will of the people" isn't faring much better. The RCP average approval rating for Congress is 36.8% with 53.8% disapproval. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Congress. Keep that in mind everytime you see Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or other Dems during their self-righteous press conferences.

As for Pelosi, D-Calif., her overall approval of 45 percent stood 10 points higher than Bush's and Congress'.

She was seen favorably by 52 percent of women, but only 39 percent of men. While whites are closely split about her, minorities approve of her job by a 15-point margin.

Pelosi's numbers are about where she was last month but slightly lower than in January. In the last month, she has lost significant support from younger voters, college-educated women and Westerners.
