I'm not usually the type of guy to moan about other lifters at the gym, but last night one of the staff at my gym really got me pissed.
I was just doing bi's and pull ups last night, so I started with a few sets of concentration curls, while my training partner was doing olympic bar curls (I'm resting from those for a month until my tendons heal up a bit) and we then move on to seated supernated DB curls.
So this week I decide to put the weight up as I had been doing 3 x 8 with the 62 lbers (with strict form and no swinging) for the last two weeks. I picked up the 66 pounders and done 8 reps (2 slightly assisted) for 3 sets. My friend also done 3 sets using the 72 pounders and got an east 10 reps each set.
So while i'm sitting there I notice one of the staff members (who is around 5ft 3" and although he's got some good size, his physique is not desirable to say the least.) looking over at us concentrating on every rep, and when we finish I say hi and tell him his arms are looking thick (I always try and encourage anyone in the gym as I know it helped me when I started) and he says "You need to work on your form a bit mate"

So I explain to him that when you start lifting heavy weights sometimes you need to do a few sets without the strictest of form for a couple of weeks, and hes like "Yeah but if you want to improve your arms you should stop using your front delts to lift the weight!" I was like WTF!!!!!!! how the hell can you use your front delts when your doing supernated curls??? I just left him to melt with jealousy as he eyed my 6ft 1" muscular frame before he went and got the step ladder for his pull ups.
Has anyone else had a member of staff be that rude?
