Ron, you deleted Melvin's thread and all the points I made while asking and answering to Bob...
Why is that?

If we have NOTHING TO HIDE...and nobody is afraid of the truth - why would you delete the thread?
It is only matter of different opinions...

Certainly I don't have a time to do it again and again...

Bob so proudly states that nobody ever complains - and Melvin did have a complaint...If he retracted his vote - he must have a reason for that...but he did also have a complaint...so why don't you leave it there.

There are few shows coming up so several guys do not want to be bothered at this time...and will probably vote LATER...but trying to shut everything off before it started looks little "fishy" - don't you think?

Put the thread back on...it is only 'getbig.com"...don't tell me that thread is censored...and voted inappropriate?

Excellent post, although I like to break lee's balls on occasion

. I like to picture him typing as fast as he can using only his two pointer fingers while sitting on phonebooks lol. He does bring alot to the board though. Regardless of the PDI incident.

You should know that allot of unions are not paid salary. Screen Actors Guild members pay their dues whether they work or not. Once in you keep paying you are still a member. The Dock Workers union the same thing. Most union don't guarantee you a job or salary. What they do is help you stregthen your position with the owners or head honchos when it comes to pay, health and other benefits. A low yearly due of $100 is easy for everyone. That is 200 x 100 equals $20,000 start-up money. Now you have 200 members acting as one against the powers to be. If the IFBB wants to be around then now the members have a say so. Like demanding a minimal rate for photo shoots. Minimal appearance fee to guest pose. Minimal fee to write articles. Minimal fee to show up to an IFBB show. Minimal prize prize for the last place finishers. These are all things Chic should have been doing yet he doesn't cause he can't.

I admit I am ignorant to all the details of this issue but her is my take.
In brief, while it is fine to speak up, this will due nothing more than make the actual pro bodybuilder appear like a bunch of disgruntled, disorganized meatheads. The sad thing is that some of the IFBB pros are bright, intelligent men with the potential to improve the image and business end $$$ of pro bodybuilding.

Lee Priest decided to go with PDI and is doing well there. In my mind ,as a fan, I see no constructive purpose in his continued bashing of Bob Chic , Shawn Ray and the IFBB,etc. His efforts would be far better served by posting pics and related info about the PDI shows. THAT might make me want to buy a ticket and see a PDI event.
Melvin however may have a legit beef about something however, I honestly don't know.
In the long run, petty in-fighting will bring down the very organization they are trying to build.
As a grown man and long time fan, this kind of thing does little to make me want to support the pro end of the sport. Having said that , because this "issue" is none of my business, I look fwd to going to Shawn's Colorado pro show and enjoying the event with my gf.

The problem with Chic as the Athletes Rep is in reality he IS NOT there rep. He was not voted in by them, he was appointed by Manion and/or the IFBB. That is what makes this so stupid. He is NOT their rep. He is more the IFBB rep than anything. He is the "mouth" for Manion and Manion is loving it. All this shit and Manion is hiding behind Chic. Most be great

besides.....

there's alot of people out there that love Pro Football....but don't play or even participate in it.....that can apply to Nascar, Baseball, etcc...

Then there's people that are totally into Porn....but never did one.

I think Milos has summed it up perfectly! In the final sentence of his post he writes: " Put the thread back on...it is only getbig.com"...

My point is, why are these so-called industry people like Milos, Lee, Bob, Melvin, Shawn etc. etc. even bothering to share there views here, because 'afterall it is only getbig.com'. The industry already has major issues with credibility, professionalism and integrity. Posting on here is not helping!

You are right Milos. And the solution is, for these people to start acting professionally and find a legitimate forum to air their grievances! Not here, on a board that is predominantly populated by adolescents.
