just think about it, NOTHING is for free, and there are people behind that mag that no how to make money, there is a catch or there is something you are missing otherwise if you are right it could cost the company a lot.

No, it's simply an advertisement gimmick by pharmtec (or sledgehammer, as they were called).
they often advertise in M&F, and givning away this cheap crap to some hundred subscripients doesn't cost them a lot, also given the fact people taking the shit WILL make gains and buy even more.
It's clever advertising from pharmtec and a stupid move from M&F.
They can probably even say, we did not know what was inside the special, it came sealed to be packed with every issue, we thought it was a simple training handbook.
