But Tu, do you believe "that" because 99 percent the news from Iraq is bad, or because 99 percent of what you hear is bad?

Perhaps...but I also hear from my Cousin who's over there right now... and he tends to see it for what it is... a Guerilla war. Which in my opinion is NEVER good. So that makes it bad... At least to me.

How bad does it have to be to be "bad"? How many people have to die? I personally think that the fact that it is a war which really has shown to be rather unnecessary, would show that it is as bad as it gets.

If you're drawn into a fight, and people die, it's one thing... when you bring the fight... and it has no reason, or a very poor one, then it's much much worse.

Iraq is bad... That's just the way it is.

I hear you.  I get the same reports from one of my friends who is over there now.  I'm not saying things are great in Iraq.  It's a quagmire.  Baghdad is a zoo.

Baghdad is a zoo.

They have a zoo now too?

Is that near the amusement park district?

IMO they should have surrounded the Green zone with zoos and amusement parks to keep it safe.

Or, they should have lined the borders with amusement parks to keep jihadists out.  Iranians, syrians, and others don't attack the fortified positions of merry-go-rounds and ferris wheels.  My old friend mm69 even told me that pink cotton candy repels islam.

It is... and really, there's too many animals to cage them all up.

Getting out of this one is not going to be easy... The Iraqi's aren't helping either... I wish they could get their shit together so we can get the fuck out.

It would repel me... I hate cotton candy.

Hi, terrorist.

I consider myself more of a "Freedom Fighter" or a "Revolutionary".

The Founding Fathers would have loved me.

You just keep your eye on the road.

History's lessons are in the rear view.  We don't need them.  All we need to know is that Osama votes democrat and you're going to hell if you criticize the white house.

hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

those little tricks here said the amusement park was safe.

next day, they took down a bridge and blew up a suicide bomb in the green zone.

mm69 got really quiet, stopped posting, and egj13 was born the next day.  Luckly, egj knows mm69, and says he's rich and high rank and not a racist.  uh-huh...

Don't recall saying he was rich, but he isn't a racist and he does out rank me

Yeah , in all fairness, the egj13 and mm69 thing is silly and far too coincidental.

The thing that gives them away in my opinion is that mm69 and egj13 both believe that a very small amount of people are born with a homosexual disposition.

I don't care either way...they are both great to talk with.

Ok what do I have to do to prove this?

Fox is worse than CNN.

Is that why Fox is #1 in the ratings and CNN (Catistrophic News Network) and PMSNBC are fighting to keep afloat?

FOX matches its views to people who watch cable news every night.  It's the demo they chase.  Polls show only 29% of america shares their views.  But these 71% of Americans do things like watch primetime TV or spend time with their families at night.

The name change was appropriate because I coach two baseball teams and spend about 25hrs week doing it.........and yes, of course I'll still be posting Rush's "stack of stuff" ;D!!

Why do you even care dude?  240 has an alter ego called "Allied Powers."  Others have gimmicks.  Who cares?  I don't.

you also accused me of being numerous other folks, including tony baloni and others.  Pretty much whenever a 9/11 skeptic pulls into town, BB labels him as 240.  It helps his feeble mind process and avoid the possibility that many people out there know the official story stinks.

Good news.

It is rather difficult to find good news in Iraq when the embedded reporters either report from the Green (safe) zone or require armed soldier/bodyguards for reporting outside these safe areas.

So, from the outset the situation is affected by the overwhelming violence in Iraq.

And from that paradigm the media is supposed to mine for “feel good” stories?

The notion that ‘good news from Iraq’ is not getting its fair exposure is kind of foolish.

It is not the media’s job to convince the public that the service of our military people in Iraq is justified.

The job of the media is as watchdog to the government making sure it’s not lying.

Of course we know there is good news coming out of Iraq.  The US gov. has planted such stories.  http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Lincoln_Group#Planting_Fake_News_in_Iraq

Wrong again Pinocchio.  I've only called you on being Allied Powers, because you are Allied Powers.  What I find comical is when you have Allied Powers start a thread, then chime in as 240.  :)
