he wants to call all pros on all continents to form a union, demand heath insurance from the ifbb as part of the pro card. a stop to bullying tactics by the ifbb to stop athletes making money elsewhere, and demand fair and just judging.

the truth is he probably cant do it alone, even if he wants, he needs someone like ronnie or jay to back him, then the rest will follow suit.

I don't know Lee....but how bad can today's contests be compared to years ago?

For starters...the prize money is much higher.....


but back in the day....guys would not place high or well at all unless they were doing private posing & fluff parties.


I have 2 good friends that dropped out of competitve bodybuilding because....they're exacts words were..........."I am NOT sucking dick to win a contest & a stupid trpohy"

When Arnold won the "O"....prize money was $1000

There was no money for second...third....etc...

Most contests when won....they got just a plain old trophy....no money.

There was no contract deals back then except for the lucky few with Weider contracts.  Even then....it did not pay bills & you were required to get a second or third job.  Most guys (Like Arnold) knew there was not a career in bodybuilding so they took college courses to get a degree in business or something just so they had something to move on to...not fall back on.  There was no career base back then at all.


So....I agree with you that things could be ALOT better...but.....they are ten times better than 30-40 years ago

The state of Proffesional bodybuilding is light years ahead of where it was 20 years ago...even taking into account cost of living, etc.

This isn't 5th grade T-ball where everyone gets to bat reguardless of how good they are...it's professional bodybuilding, and the best will always make more money, sign bigger contracts and prosper more.

Lee likes to spout off numbers,  but in reality...his own federation( PDI) probably had the same ratio of paying out...20%.

To those pro's who don't have contracts....keep making the improvements necessary, be it on the stage, with your skills as a spokesman, as a supplement rep, etc.
