the only thing I hate about the book is that Arnold keep saying how awesome he was

I'll try to find a good pic of franco to show my point, the separations in his chest looked an inch deep  :o

Good to hear. Now maybe you'll start appreciating some of the physiques that influenced Arnold... Park, Pearl, Grimek, Ross...

one thing i find bizzare, is how all the greats aged really badly, except for lou ferrigno and serge nubret.

if u see them in the pumpin giron reunion they looks awful, whereas they should look healthy.

i dont know if it is from the training or the steroids (even though they did way less than current pro's).

Least they are still alive. Interesting to see todays generation at 60.

I think a lot of the guys were a bit older as well. Obviously Lou was the youngest. Nubret is genetic freak and as the saying goes black don't crack. A few of them probably went through a fair bit of hardship, but remember its also over 30 years since pumping iron was filmed so of course they will age.

bullshit

people age, even bbers. some of those guys are in their late 60's. have a look around you at the average guy in his late 60's.

the reason it's shocking to you is because they show the documentary and the reunion at around the same time and you probably felt/hoped that they would stay that way for ever.
