Did PBW Fuck Lee Priest For Ratings?

So, you’re up against a second hour of No Bull Radio in your time slot and we have BALCO founder Victor Conte on as a guest. Whad’a-ya do? I got it! Put Lee Priest on so he can announce his desire to return to the IFBB! While such a desire would surely be newsworthy, PBW didn’t promote that fact leading up to their show. They just said Lee was coming on. Given Lee’s nature to change direction more than a chicken that just lost its head, you can’t blame them. But still, you have to wonder, did Dan and Bob actually know Lee’s intensions before the show, and if they did, did they use it to their advantage and Lee’s detriment? Hmmmmmmmmm………. Considering those involved, it’s fun to think about…...

What I think is that if they didn’t know what Lee was going to say, then Dan and Bob stood the chance that Lee would spend his time on the air bashing the IFBB. That wouldn’t bode well for the company boys. Surely, if he knew, I’m thinking IFBB Pres Jim Manion would not have liked Lee having a platform to bash the IFBB. And you know he’d know, cuz words like Lee Priest being on the radio spread like a 45 year-old secretary’s butt. That being the case, then you have to ask, would Jimmy want Lee back in the IFBB? I mean, Bob being athlete rep and all of that – you’d think he’d go to Jim Manion – BEFORE – Lee went on PBW to see if the IFBB would consider reinstating Lee (if he knew). If the answer was “no,” the athlete’s rep wouldn’t want one of his guys hung out to dry in front of his fans, right? He’s supposed to be looking out for him.

What would Jim Manion have said if such a scenario presented itself? I’m going to go way out on a limb here and guess to say, Heeeeeeeeellllllll Noooooooooo!! But, If Dan and Bob knew Lee was going to disclose his intension to return to the IFBB, then they’d know Lee would be saying nothing but nice things about the IFBB on the radio. And that would get them the brass pass to get Lee on the show. That’s good for the company boys. But then you have to wonder; if Dan or Bob knew what the IFBB’s position would be, why would the athlete’s rep still want Lee on his show? To give him just enough rope to hang himself? I mean, here we’re talking Lee Priest, the guy who referred to the IFBB as a bunch of “puppets;” no one’s got any balls; “I’m just being me” and doing what I think is right? Now, all of a sudden the IFBB - and their ways - are all okay with him and he wants back in? That was the safest bet Dan and Bob are going to ever get for a rating’s gathering loose cannon like Lee Priest. So what if he commits career suicide on your show?

Or, was it all innocent and they did not know Lee’s intensions? They just figured he’d spend his time bashing MD? I don’t think so.

I wonder how long Lee will have to be on stool softeners?

Everybody knows that Lee Priest says what he wants to say.  He is the last guy that could get played or manipulated for ratings.  I give PBW props for having the balls to put Lee on their show. 

And MD should thank Bob for not asking Lee to reveal the truth about Bleckman and his mob.

Ok, easy now, I do agree that Romano and his MD company boys have a vested interest to promote themselves and their mag. The IFBB is doing the same kind of thing to help the image of what they bring to the sport. This negative kind of smackdown does little to get me interested in the sport and I am a fan of 30 yrs.
It is the same feeling I get when I hear ESPN go on and on about salary caps and general mangers, etc
I am interested in the pro bodybuilders and the basic rules that govern the actual contests. I could give a rats fuzzy behind about one mag or radio show feuding with another.

What a fuckin moron. All I saw was a few paragraphs of nothing but assumptions and nothing to back any of this up. Why go so in-depth to something there is no proof of...... Jealously??? Why not just write up a conspiracy about how Cheez-its aren't made with real cheese.


P.S. Romano please learn how to write in basic english properly, I mean you supposedly write a column for a big mag but I notice you put a damn apostrophe for allot word ending with a "s" when it clearly wasn't needed.
