i thought i remember Lift Studios saying that he's 5'8" and 244 or so, is this true?
This is from my interview with him in Ironman... he told me he's gained more since the interview...
DY: Michael tell me, How did you get started in Bodybuilding and fitness?
ML: I was a boxer. But after several years it was time to leave it behind me. After I quit boxing, my brother Reggie, and my sister Donna influenced me to start bodybuilding. They told me that I was born with a natural bodybuilding physique, so why not take up bodybuilding and realize my full potential.
I took what they said to heart and joined a gym called Fitworks. It’s sort of an old- school style hardcore gym. Real weights that clang. People working out with fire in their eyes. Grunting, sweating. You know, a real gym. When I was working out at Fitworks I met the General Manager, Mark Sustin, who could write several textbooks on bodybuilding. He was a bodybuilder himself he encouraged me. He also taught me what I needed to know about training, nutrition and motivation. I already had the work-ethic and conditioning from boxing. So the ball was in my court to get into the gym and do my homework .
DY: I love those types of Gyms Michael, and it sounds like Mark as well as your bother, sister were all good influences on you. It also sounds like you did do your homework Michael. Okay, give us your stats.
ML: I’m 23, 5’10” and 220 pounds.
...Straight from Michael's mouth.
