it is really dirty, really hot, and motovating as hell.  couldn't train there year long, but it is fun for an occational workout.

I have never trained there when it was above 100, but a couple of time it was in the 90's and you almost have like a instant pump and you only need like 1 warm up set, because you are already sweating by the time you get out of the car.  and the fans there just blow the hot air around.  I always carry a full size towel in there, and by the end, it is normally soaked.

i trained there twice,i saw ronnie when i was leaving the second time.Branch warren was there the first time but he wasnt working out.i liked it,its allot like the gym in my hometown.

Yes. Twice.

 1st time Ronnie was there but it was middle of Feburary and he was offseason so he was more or less tinkering around with the weights and bullshitting with a couple other big greasy negroes. Gym was somewhat empty with loud blaring RAP over the stereo.

 2nd time it was in September and it was HOT. Ronnie wasn't there and the gym was somewhat empty. LOUD metal music playing.

 Brian was behind front desk on the internet or giving his hunting dogs a bath by out in front of the place.

If you are in the Dallas area you should try Texas Gym.   It is alot like Metroflex.  It was voted most hard core gym by some power lifting mag.

As for Metroflex, I've been here the past 11 years and haven't made it to Metroflex yet either. Flame away if you must, but the 24 hour fitness I go to has a great atmosphere on some days. Art Atwood's a semi-regular (before he got busted), so is that TJ guy that you see in all the new Prolab ads, among a lot of other amateur BB's too. There's several powerlifters too so there's usually a decent amount of weight being thrown around. I don't need 100+ temperatures to get motivated, if the average lifter is pressing a 100lbs more than me then you automatically turn it up a notch.

Last August. The giant thermometer on the back wall read 110º. There's a GIANT fan that does a good enough job of circulating hot, stale air. Cobwebs everywhere. I was covered in dirt when I left. Branch was training like a madman.
