It wouldn't be worth it for him to juice. If it hit the media, he would become the Barry Bonds of golf...hated by many, loved by few.

This is the same close-minded shit that people were saying about baseball players 15 years ago.

We all know how that turned out.

Hell fucking BOWLERS are testing positive for juice.

My conclusion is if you are a professional athlete of any ilk,and earn your living with your physical abilities, at some point they ALL give steriods consideration, and MOST take the plunge.

Not sure if this was diss on me.  But in 1983 or so I getting guys from a few teams roids.  One of my best friends I grew up with signed with Cincinnati Reds and played in the bigs.  I put him on Anadrol 50 after his first season.  He came back 30 lbs heavier and was knocking the shit out of the ball.  The coach asked me what I did and if I could do that with everybody on team.  I believe steroids in baseball caused I saw it.  But, I still think Tiger is way above this and ever has even tried them or barely thought about them.  There are a few out there. I wouldn't have ever taken them if my peers didn't tell me every pro armwrestler takes them.

Tiger's a golf prodigy and has been driving the ball farther than most grown men since he was a teenager. So unless he was on the needle at 13, then I doubt he's juiced now. Why would he even think about wrecking what he's got going for himself?

for the sake of argument - we don't know what 15+ years of playing competitive gold has done to him.  he might have injuries or deficits from the rigors of longterm training and playing.

one reason he'd consider it would be to recover from some ailment.  Blowing up big might have been a fun side effect.  I still stand by my belief he doesn't - but there are many reasons why he'd consider using.

And - I don't see it as "wrecking himself".  Golf doesn't test for steroids, and anything he got wouldn't have to come from Joe Snitch, the local dealer.  Tigerr would get HRT or test from his very expensive doctor and unless one of these two men opens his mouth, the world will never know.  besides, even if PGA knew, no way they'd say anything.  Tiger is very very good for golf.

Why would he even take the chance of jeopardizing that when he's making $60 million+ a year in endorsements alone? Just to maybe drive the ball 15-30 yards further or recover faster? A farther drive isn't going to make him any better than he has been since he won his first Masters.

I doubt he'd take them for recovery too because he plays less tournaments than most golfers for the most part anyway. So he gets plenty of rest by skipping multiple events every year.

True.

He hit's the ball farther than most and any additional muscle would alter his swing.

I do think some GH might help in injury recovery (pulled muscles and suck).

There is zero chance he'll be caught.  Very easily, his doctor would give him what he needed and that would be that.

2) You just gave 60 million reasons why Tiger would have motive to use, should he be injured.  Personally, I would probably shoot smack right into my arm for $60 mil a year.  I wouldn't put it past a man to use something healthy, in small doses, and legal, to allow him to earn 60 mil a year for many more years than he could without sports med tech.

Dude please don't debate me on the swings.  Like I said the only resemblance is the hip rotation.  In baseball you swing a 34 oz. bat level or a slight downswing and your top wrist turns over.  In golf you try to keep your wrists fairly straight and you swing a club back then forward/down with a up follow through.  The ball does not move in golf, the ball comes at you at 90+mph and it is moving all over the place in baseball.  In golf your feet stay in one place except for the rotation of the feet.  IN baseball you take a step with your lead foot.  I played organized baseball as a catcher for 18 years (8 to 26).  I also played golf ALLOT.  Do believe hitting slow pitch softball is like baseball?

Your arguing semantics...Its not 100% identicle...The art of hitting a baseball is ALMOST identicle to hitting a golf ball...Hip rotation...wrist going over the top and one arm fully extented in golf opposed to both in baseball...Just about the same muscles are using in both...And alot of golf teachers swing a club as it were a bat as a way of training "golf" muscles...Is it the exact same movement no but their are also no two snowflakes that are alike...

Get on the course pull out the driver and take a baseball swing at the ball with a downward motion and you will look like 90% of the hacks on the course....Now do the same swing but keep your left arm "locked"(in righties) thru out the movement and it will look like you have been taught something...Its really that simple because they are so very close(minus the grip, step forward and one arm extended opposed to both)

His contract are multi-year.  They don't sign guys for that amount of money for one year contracts.  And contracts like this aredone in a way where if he got hurt they would still pay him.

Useless thread; common sense in short supply. A lot of guys on here have little experience as athletes or BBs i have a feeling.

There is nothing required in golf that would require the specific benefits of steroids. He's already working out, in better shape and likely stronger for his weight than most golfers.

well we can take a good look at Michelle Wie and see what happens to her if she doesn't start performing in the next 3 to 5 years...Talk about someone who is going to be looking for every possible edge out there...Sure she has tons of money but she has everything to lose...And as of now is getting killed in the media for she just isn't performing...

You're basically reaching for any example to justify your position, just as your "excellent" article did. Phil's wrist has nothing to do with Tiger.

My position was justified by my example...What the heck with all you niave guys...steroids are in every single sport out there...And for good reason...

Bodybuilders abuse steroids while alot of athletes use them wisely...

i agree it has nothing to do with Tiger...Some on here including you believe that steroids can not benefit a golfer(not just Tiger) any golfer....I just don't buy that

who has that article that claims he benches 315 for 8

i lold when a read that piece of crap

he has a good build..but i doubt he can bench 315 for 8

I saw that too.

I give Tiger Woods about 225 MAYBE.........with or without roids.

That frame doesn't bench anything above that, good form or not.

I would be hard pressed to believe he can even bench 225 for good form.....bouncing, perhaps.

If he's smart he won't get any bigger because it'd take away from his golf game.
