This murder suicide involving Benoit will be a wake up call to all those grown men who go to these events.. I hope now they realize how their own development is stunted and how their insistence on living in and thus supporting this fantasy world promoted the dysfunction that killed that little boy.
I guess that means that you don't watch football, based on what went down with O.J. Simpson; or you don't watch baseball, because of Daryl Strawberry's demons. And, you definitely don't watch basketball, based on the whoremongering activities of some of its former athletes, including one Michael Jordan.
Sadly are any of these men mature enough to know how to explain the murder of that little boy to their own children. Children that they have indoctrinated into this insane world. A commercially driven cult of macho men and super women.

I hope they realize now that they have been living half of their life as men and half of their lives as childish man-boys, cheering for virtual men in a virtual world, hiding from their own reality, hiding from facing the pressures of being a grown up. It may have seemed all fun and games but its not. If you don't learn how to become a responsible adult there are serious consequences to yourself and to your family.
Benoit was half man half boy and who wasn't prepared for the real adult world. His development was stunted and the consequences were deadly.
The end result will not alwyas be death but i bet a lot of these WWE fans have fucked up relationships, go through bad divorces, put their families through financial crisis after financial crisis, and then end up with kids that aren't prepared for the real world who escape into fantasy just like they did. Those are serious consequences to avoid growing up.
In other words, these people (much like the aforementioned competitors from their respective venues) are a turbo-charged microcosm of ORDINARY PEOPLE in this world.
