Arnold. What did they really feed him?
« on: August 18, 2007, 09:18:44 PM »
http://www.dailymotion.com/Tech9/video/x2iip3_early-years-part-one_sport

How come he always had a superior pump and fullness, yet no bloat or puffiness, no gynno and always a perfect complexion? What's the secret? You would think if he would have relied on drugs, how come he got three kids, never got gynno, no hair loss and perfect skin all the time. Was he just lucky as in superior genes? What's the secret with this guy, hard work alone? He already had muscle maturity, size and separation at 19, how do you achieve that?

Cant help but wonder what his diet was like... was it really whey protein with ice cream shakes, chicken and beer like people claimed?

Dude must have been real lucky!

I wonder about the gyno too. Maybe it is just genetics after all. My father never had acne in his entire life, and started shaving at 15 yrs old he said. I started shaving only at 19 and have a little acne. Ever since i became interested in bodybuilding, i have always kept a few pictures i remember, studied them, and in my opinion this one below is a time when he was going heavy on the Dianabol or Test,  I usually think claims off ''he's on so so '' is rediculous, you can't really tell what gear someone is using. But in this pic he definitely looks to be on either Dbol or Testosterone, because in those day i imagine you just took whatever it was, and that was it. No fancy ancillaries or super strong aromatase inhibitors, and/or didnt kno the significance of them at the time .. they took the full brunt of the compound, excess estrogen, water retention, etc, but probably figured out that there was certain compounds which leaned them up for contest, without the crazy strength gains and excess baggage. I suppose a lot of it was very anecdotal?

smooth, almost greasy appearance of his skin, and also the moon face, a little puffed up, doesnt look like his usual self. of course incredibly huge, but looks about 35 yrs old :D I bet he could of put up 380 or maybe 400 for a few on bench at that size

There are literally thousands of arnolds pic's and see rare ones every so often i havent seen before...i like looking at them in between training days, really good motivation! usually each one tells a story

Maybe, but all the tell tale signs of a heavy bulking cycle, no? Huge huge bulk size, puffiness in face, hair do,  this must have been an off season photo, in my opinion! Probably at his strongest right there, or close. Think Frank Mcgrath in the animal vids, except he was a little leaner and dryer than Arnold, Strong as bull! :D and the classic hair do, nothing fancy just heavy training!

Anyway, yes i think a lot has to do with genetics

Boat/puffness : genetics
gyno : genetics
kids : any proof at all ttat steroids cause problems with making children? just an anti-steroids lie
hair loss : genetics

according to gh15 if you're very young you can use much less gear than you would have to at an older age to get the same results.  so considering he did most of his growing in his late teens/early twenties he probably was able to blow up on a small amount

EDIT:  he also had a great response to hormones and worked very very hard, so he probably didn't need much gear, hence little to no sides

I read he was born with a heart defect that ran in his family, his mother had the same thing. Who knows for sure.

Blair's Protein, Eggs, Liver Tabs, Red Meat, and Pasta for carb ups.  That was the pre contest diet pretty much.  Some guys used Free Form aminos pre show also.

all dbol...creates the best looking muscles, round a full. Thats what all those guys did, gave them great looking muscles.

Side affects are all genetics...look at Jay, he has more than a full head of  hair, and no acne. Just luck

I know a guy who started like 200 g of test and got every side affect, lost hair, acne, gyno all within like four weeks. poor dude. stopped immediatly.

Makes sense, I know two guys who both started steroids at the same time, took the same gear at similar doses, trained together, etc. One of them has completely transformed himself and is now a little brickhouse, the other guy lost all his hair, got really bad skin and some acne, and a noticeable case of gyno.

Gyno was rare back then, guys today use 10x the dose of steroids Arnold and his peers used back then. Plus the guys today are on cycle year round, back then almost nobody did that.

yet professional wrestlers back then were known to take handfuls of d/bol at a time...Even up to 100 pills a day...

Hence yesterdays Pro wrestlers were often very fat and bloated looking, with some exceptions (Ultimate Warrior)...
