in general?

I wouldn't say I worry, but I guess I do care to an extent.

That depends on the people. Someone I respect and hold in high esteem, ...obviously I would care,
Those I do not know, do not care about, and have no impact on my life... they can take a flying leap.

If I had a dime for everytime I forged forward in the face of laughter and/or ridicule,
...only to end up having the last laugh, ...I'd own adjoining penthouses in Trump tower

Not really. I worry if my kids will understand some decisions but beyond that no.

I'm pretty self-sufficient on an emotional level so worrying about stuff like that would be silly.

I DO worry about what I think about me quite a bit. That can be stressful as heck.

that statement alone indicates a problem toward society as a whole for you,and I think your slight inferiority complex manifests itself by coming onto the internet with an apparent "take no prisoner attitude" when it comes to debating things,my best guess is you either grew up in the shadow of an older sibling or one or both parents was'nt as attentive to your needs as you would have liked in the few years preceeding puberty...

One (you) must remember depression is nothing more than anger turned inwards.

Absolutely not.

Whether they have a positive or negative opinion, it doesn't bother me.

I'm the same person regardless and I always have been.

People tend to shape self-worth based on other's opinion of them, while I am the complete opposite.

I really only care what others think if I happen to like them..........or in the case of a woman, if I'm attracted to her.

Other than that, there is no point.

{LOL} Well Thank You Dr. Phil. pssst:I don't have an inferiority complex... slight or otherwise.
"Take No Prisoners" ...are you stating I instead prefer to annihilate the opposing debater? ...sometimes.  ;D
Your armchair analysis is interesting, ...but waaay off base. ...but thanks for playing.  :D

What the statement indicates is that I am the architect of my life. I decide what I want, and then I go after it.
I am not dissuaded from my pursuits by peer pressure of fear of looking foolish or silly as so many do.
I've broken free of those barriers to attainment & achievement imposed by others, ...and come out the other side.

I never cared what people thought of me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Depends.  I worry about what my family thinks of me.  I appreciate what my friends and those I respect think of me.  But I do not care what strangers think of me due to the fact that they do not know me.  I used to care what strangers though, but after being on this site...well, that changed all that, lol.   ;D

I think this is referring to more than looks.

I guess if everyone thought I was an asshole I would care because that probably would be saying something about me.

Yes!!
I want my friends to trust and like me.
I want my family to respect and love me
I want my enemies respect and be carefull of me.
I want my staff to respect me and have a good formal relationship with them.
I like second glances from woman......... when I get them  :)
I like it when trade unions shop stewards (my usual enemies) give me a look of caution.
I like it when other mangers or supervisors are nervous around me.
I like it when my kids face lights up when they see me.
I like it when my wife gives me a look of aproval when some I did is right.
I have have made a name for myself both good and bad many times.
I prefer the good.
WE ALL CARE!!!

I already know the majority of people don't think of me let a lone in goodstanding.

What matters is what those 'few' people think & what I think.

The hell wasting time worrying about everything.
