arms were incredible,and calves unreal.back in early nineties pastel,renel javier,jj marsh,cotrell,were like there era's henry,jackson,darrem ,and such.fighting for the arnold,ironman,san fran,cool build thierry had.

Pastel was SUCH a complete bodybuilder. Best arms ever, Best abs, Huge Thighs and calves and a great back too. Had a real showmans body too, his muscles seem to explode and ripple from knowwhere - Victim of short bodybuilder syndrome .....

Was a serious volume trainer like Nubret - Pumpin blood can sure produce some size, Nimrod King was another example ....

Thierry did one of the coolest things I've ever seen at a pro show...let's see if I can get it right...

I think it was the 93 Ironman and all the competitors were lined up onstage being introduced, they were all wearing ironman sweatshirts with the sleeves cut off-y'know musclehead style.

anyway they would introduce a guy and he'd step forward and hit a front double bi or something, maybe a lat spread standard musclehead poses and I guess the crowd was going nuts...

it comes to Pastel and he steps forward and puts his hands out to kinda shush the crowd and all he does is pick up the bottom of his shirt and hit an ab shot and everyone was like

and that was it....it was so subtle....it was just cool as hell.

Seriously man the pic is NOT photoshopped - Saw this guy compete twice and obviously he's on a couple of Olympia vids and he did look like this. Im sure some of the other guys can rustle up more pics to prove it.
