Sadly, a lot of fighter's don't have insurance.  My friend, Lincoln Tyler, got messed up by Ryoto Matsune.  He got his jaw broken, needed massive facial reconstruction.  His insurance was insufficient, and didnt' cover him for his fight injuries.

In boxing, when you pay for your annual license, insurance is included in that fee, and it covers any injury sustained in the ring and in some instances training.

Are you saying if you get hurt in a sanctioned fight you are not covered with insurance.  I can't see how that can happen.  There is no sanctioning body that would not require insurance.  Boxing, and any professional sport and even SAG covers everything if you are hurt during the event.  Even the IFBB has insurance which is actually pretty good if something happens during the event.

That must've cost a small fortune to get fixed? Considering just gettin a tooth fixed can be expensive as hell.
