And down go the Cowboys on their home field
« on: October 14, 2007, 08:27:42 PM »
Well, so much for Dallas taking out the Patriots and so much for that vaunted Cowboys defense stopping Brady and Co.

Romo has a little bit of whiny bitch in him, watching him try his best to keep the excuses to a minimum was amusing. I especially liked how he said it's tough to be a quarterback and feel like you've got to put points up because the other team keeps scoring. Nice backhanded jab at his defense.

That was classic. How about T.O? Excuses out the ass. Did Romo know the pats kicked the shit out of them minus Richard Seymour, Ben Watson and also There number ONE and TWO running backs. Morris and Watson left with injuries early. Brady was just unreal over 300 yards, 5 tds no picks. The guy has 21 frekin td's in six games. How about Welker and Stallworth?

So lets see that would be like the cowboys playing the pats minus Jason Whitton, Marion Barber and Jones. Plus there best defensive player.

The question is how will Romo and co explain they got destroyed by the pats minus the pats number one and two running backs, a tight end leading the NFL in td's in Watson and a perennial pro bowl linemen in Richard Seymour AT HOME.

The cowbots are a good football team, but the excuses by some of the players was pretty busch leauge.

You're right, the Pats weren't sharp. Brady wasn't very accurate for a little while. He badly missed two bombs to Moss and a few dump offs. The defense played great minus the big man and the offense was amazing minus the two starting running backs.

That catch Moss made for a TD that was overturned was absolutely ridiculous. How the hell did he even catch that ball? He's an absolute FREAK of nature.

To the cowboys credit the few misses Brady had where caused by great defensive plays on there part. Brady went over 300 yards, 5 td's no picks minus his one and two running back and best tight end. Scary. Brady is now the only qb in NFL history to have at least 3 td passes in 6 consecutive games.

Brady just lined up  in the gun and threw the shit out of the ball.

The cowboys are a very good football team. The whining shit just took away from that. TO is a total asshole.

Cowboys still rank as one of the best teams in the NFL. This loss will only fuel the fire if they meet up with the Pats in the playoffs. They have Mnnesota in their next game and if the don't shut down adrian peterson its gonna be a long day for them. that kid ran up and down the field yesterday...

um  not to mention, the pats didnt have a ground game at all...dude seriously the pats gm needs to write a blue print on drafting and aquiring players. salary cap means nothing in NE and they can find a place on the team and get production out of a 3rd string defensive back from "northeast western maine state tech college" or they can get production out of a player who took his first snap under the first George bush administration. they are just that good.

The Cowboy shave no secondary. It has been obvious all year. They have a good line and decent LBs but nothing in the secondary. Anyone that can throw will eat them alive.

The Pats should be ok next week against Miami.  They have several injuries that will need to heal before the Colts game. I think they'll sit Mauroney another game. They are the worst team as far as reporting injuries so Body and Card, if u guys hear any rumors about Watson and Morris, please post.

Vince was just on EEI and said he felt better physically after this game than he has in a long time. He also said that they were thankful to get out of that game healthy. That they hadn't sustained any big injuries as a team. MIght be good news on Morris. Watson looked fine when he was walking around.

It looks like a lot of the record book will be rewritten by the time the season's over.

I think the Pats could lose to Pitt, Philly, and/or Indy.

I wouldn't count on it though.

The only way I see NE going down is if a team can scheme an effective blitz package against Brady while having the corners rough up the wide outs, especially Moss--he can be frustrated.

Other than that....it must be nice to be a patriots fan now.

I'd worry abou Pitt and of course Indy. It depends on how healthy Indy is. We'll see them in the playoffs regardless, but i'd rather play that one under a half a ton of snow. The Pats are being compared the the 2000 Rams. They came within a foot of loosing so I'd like to forget that comparison. Body keep the injury updates coming. I'd like to see Morris and ur boy get back on the field together.

Right now I don't think the Pats need to be truly worried about anyone.

The Division is essentially wrapped up and I don't think Belichick really cares about going undefeated. As long as they keep plugging along doing what they do the ultimate goal should be the only thing to worry about.

The regular season should be relatively easy because of the weakness of the division and the quality of the Pats.

You know what HH I was thinking the same thing. I think that should depend on the health of our backs though. In bad weather the passing game suffer's. The NE offense is insane. A fast track is now a BIG advantage for us. Before I always dreaded shooting it out with the colts, because of our lack of speed @ the wr position. Caldwell was our number one. Slow as dirt. Now I would be comfortable doing it. We have the better defense. Score for Score we can beat anyone. Imo the best possible conditions would be cold as hell. No snow. The pats will be used to the cold weather where ass the colts being a dome team will be effected. If Morris and Maroney are both healthy bring on the snow.

I have heard that Sey will be back sooner then later. Dont forget about Jackson and Brown. If I had to guess what type of injury Morris had I would say a bruised sternum. Worst case Broken ribs. Wilfork says the pats got out with any major injuries so that is a good sign. Watson has a sprain , he will be fine.

I also heard Maroney would have went had Morris had to sit. The pats offensive game plan was to chuck the shit out of it anyway.

True that. Mangini is a fraud, the bills are rebuilding, and the phins are in a tranistion stage. I thought the pats would go 13 - 3 post season.

Watch for a trade. If the pats want to activate Jackson and Brown they need to make room. If Morris is hurt bad Gaf might be on the block. I would love to see Dillon come back.

Cowboys are a very good team.

I think a lot of the players make excuses though. Crayton just made a guarantee the boys would see us again. Also hinted towards the pats running up the score? Yet Phillips calls a time  out with less then two minutes left forcing us to play another few downs. The td was scored by a 5th string rb on fourth down. Why didn't they stop him? Crayton bitched yet his boy TO was the one talking all the shit post game. Rumor is he called A Thomas the morn of the game talking trash saying the boys would beat the pats. Reminds me of the chargers.

The pats played minus there number one and two running back's, there best tight end , and Richard Seymour. I don't think the pats played all that well in the first half. I have seen them clicking Much more efficient then they where yesterday. You might think I'm exaggerating. Im not.

this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.....they barely beat the Bills...actually, I still think the Bills won that game.

That being said its not a big surprise

The Cowboys are still improving, they're something like NE last year.

Some of those runs by the Cowboys showed clear NE weakness, but they have so many strengths that it might not be significant enough to make them beatable.

Hey Dumpster, what do you think, are there any CFL teams that could take the Pats out? You know, since the CFL is on par with the NFL.

I agree.

Jarvis green is a luxury to have. He is a pro bowl caliber linemen on most NFL teams in this league. However he is Seymour's backup for one reason. Seymour is an absolute beast vs the run. Seymour is also so tall he bat's down a lot of passes. Wilfork and Warren are big run stuffers , but they can't stop everyone. Adding Seymour back into that line is going to be hell for running backs.

They are starting to run at Jarvis. He is a pass rush specialist. That is his strength.  Granted Dallas stopped Green by running to his side and holding the shit out of him on every single down. I also think NE was willing to give Dallas some ground game in order to keep Whitton and Owens in check. Romo is average if you force him to sit in the pocket and throw (at this point)

Dallas is a very good team. They will improve. They will also impload if some of there key guys keep running there mouth's and not showing up on the field. They made a lot of excuses after that loss. Fact is the pats beat them down minus there number one and two running backs, Richard Seymour and Ben Watson. That's like Dallas playing Minus Barber and Jones at rb. No Jason Whitton at tight end, and no Ware on defense. Excuses are for chumps and immature players. Some of em need to learn how to win and lose.
