My apologies, but that IMO, suggests a mildly anti-intellectual behavior.
You are however correct in that I do not like Islam. I have repeatedly tried to explain to you why I dislike it (the religion). I've given examples, et al.
What it all comes down to is basically that I believe in democracy, in equality between men and women, in gay rights, I'm against slavery, I believe in a humane legal system, et al.
Because of all this, I simply cannot like Islam.
Anyone who agrees with me on any of the above, cannot IMO be a Muslim. I've tried to explain this to you before.
I do not like when Islam is practiced, or when a Muslim lifestyle is practiced. For the reasons stated above.
But I also realize that we cannot force anyone to change their beliefs.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't stand up for democracy.
A Swedish publisher had a $50 000 price on his head for publishing satire pics of Muhammed. To back down from something like that, of course not.
Allowing Muslims to send away their daughters to early marriage, of course not (I know your viewpoint on teen girls getting married with older men).
At the same time, we can never allow racism, allow the typical racial slurs towards the Muslim community.
Because it's not the race that is the problem. It is the way of living. It is the anti-democratic lifestyle.
