Do you have Facebook and/or Myspace in America?

Just curious.  I heard the news today here in England that most people have more friends in cyberspace than they do in "real life".

According to today's news, nobody knows anybody and they all talk to nonentities on the internet.

I have 49 buddies and noone has put me on their no-play on WordBiz (my scrabble club which I've been addicted to since July...

so that means people are far nicer on a scrabble website than on a bodybuilding one.
& although I've always known that I'm one step ahead of the news, I've just learned that writing a diary on the internet is what people tend to do nowadays...


I'm therefore fairly pleased with myself for having done this for more than a year.

Clue me in on the FaceBook?  What is UTube?  I never learnt how to do an an Avatar.

No but, really...  I've recently realised that I'd be great on Facebook and Myspace.

Trouble is:  I've never worked out how to do an avatar, so I guess I'd be booted off for not taking my top off or something.


Obviously you have Facebook and MySpace where you are...  I just don't understand it.

Plus it's on the news nowadays that all our keypad movements are traceable.  Thank Goodness I've only blabbed on GetBig.  I'm safe here.  xL

Myspace is horrible... the interface is ridiculous.

Personally, I think facebook is a much better site technologically and visually speaking.

I don't like how myspace has those stupid editors that make everything so fucking difficult to read.

Read something that generally facebook is more for the "upper class", while myspace is more for the "rebels".

I also got face book and have found buddies and ex girl friends dating back 20 years.
I love it but I don't play the little game thingys.
I even found a Facebook account from one of the mods of this site.

I think it's a more "mature" site than the rest (hi5.com, myspace.com, ...). Looks clean and professional (as opposed to to myspace.com where half the sites look crappy and load slow), and does what it's meant to do: post some pictures, send messages. Just to keep in touch with friends you already have. I don't think you'll meet new people on facebook.

Actually I have made new friends, people see you and ask if they can be your friend.
They also have pages, I downloaded a "Like" page from a friend and did not know what it was, it almost like a dating service.
People can see you and try and contact you, I got hits from more than a dozen woman.

I went on Friends Reunited a number of years ago (long before they invented Facebook and Myspace).  That was fun.  Lots of people remember me fondly from when I was in my teeeens in Toronto Canada.


Please don't tell me you're serious when you say that there's an upper class and a lower class?  No wonder I've stayed away, I'm what they call common.
