UFC Officially Offers Couture The Nogueira Fight
« on: November 13, 2007, 03:51:52 AM »
"Dana White at a press conference today said that if California upholds the suspension of Sean Sherk for a steroid violation on 12/4, that he would strip Sherk of the title. If Sherk is cleared, he will remain champion. He also officially made an offer to Randy Couture to face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. It's unlikely, at least at this point, that will happen but the official offer was made and Couture has yet to respond to the offer. "

Been a fan of Minatouro for ages and would love to see him square up against Couture. If I had been Nogeira id have taken Coutures retirement statement as an insult because he said there was no one to fight if he couldnt fight Fedor. I think Nog would give Coture a very hard fight indeed and as a fight fan this could be a truly great fight to witness.

randy probably won't take it but i think he should. it doesn't look like fedor is going to happen for him and dana is going to hold him to his contract.

who here thinks couture wins this fight

i personally will never count him out against nog. i do however think nog needs a warm up fight in the octagon before he fights for a title but i really do think this could be the fight if it would happen under the right circumstances

Crocop will make a comeback. I assure it! That fight at UFC meant nothing - everyone has their poor days. Don't forget that Crocop is the guy who broke Wanderlei Silva's ribs when the latter was in his prime. Best fighter of all times, in my opinion. :)

Liddell has lost his last two fights.

Just because Cro-Cop lost his last two fights doesn't mean shit.

That what makes MMA a great sport, anyone can lose.

One of these days Fedor will "hand pick" the wrong opponent and he will go down.

Oh, excuse me, but after winning the K1 and PRIDE so many times, why wouldn't Crocop win a minor champiosnship like the UFC? Are you retarded? I could see him not winning is he were old, but the guy is still in his mid thirties, so his chance of winning the UFC are as good as any.

Hang with the big boys?

Are you for real?

Cro Cop's record speaks for itself.

Did you say the same thing about Mark Coleman back in 2000?

One loss is no big deal, it happens. Losing twice in a row when you were supposed to be one of the best fighters in the world is not a fluke. CC would need a couple of victories against good opponents to even be considered for a title shot.

Well the second fight Cro Cop lost was due to a broken rib. When you break a rib there is nothing you can do. That took him out of the fight when that happened. Here look what happened to Rampage when Shogun broke his rib. Rampage took a ass beaten.
