I read that Arlovski has one fight left on his deal and the UFC wants to extend it before offering Arlovski a fight, but Arlovski wants to wait until after his contractual obligations are met before re-negotiating. In that case, UFC would probably benefit from matching Arlovski up very tough so that if he loses, his value to another company is weakened and the UFC can re-sign him on the cheap. That being said, if Arlovski waits to re-sign and wins, look for him to go elsewhere. He has a big name as a former champ and would add legitimacy to any upstart org.
