How many Reps did Nasser do with 225 at the muscletech Bench press challenge? I believe it was only like 14 or 15...

what people don't know is that HUGE Nasser was using his incredible mental powers to make the bar heavier.  While the other doofuses were merely benching 225, HUGE Nasser was demonstrating mind over matter, turning a 225 lbs. of iron into something more in the vicinity of 450.

Dorian was among the very strongest. His poundages with the form he used was simply unbelievable. Nasser's form was crap by comparison. If you want proof just watch his joke 2" barbell rows on BFTO 96. Ronnie was stronger if you want to go by absolute poundages moved with form sacrificed. But Dorian was bench pressing over 500lbs in 1992 as well as 215lb dumbell rows for 12 easy reps.



Those are 150s for those of you who can't see  :P

Dorian was a strong mofo but he was NOT benching 500 lbs for 12 reps ever!!!  In his video he does I think 425 x 6 on incline--a respectable amount...but not near what he would have to incline to show that he could flat bench 500 for reps!

Nassers 200lbs dumbell shoulderpresses are hard to believe.
In his "(Huge) Nasser on the Way (to the toilet) III" vid he can't barely press the 140's.
A 60lbs difference - Nas is def. the strongest exaggerator of all time  ;D

That was right after 15 sets of chest--you can't compare your shoulder press strength after a chest workout!  Plus he said he was a bit stronger during the Flex photoshoot than during the Part 3 video.

15 reps.  Nasser was just having fun there...just mixing it up at the O since he wasn't competing on stage that year.  However, his previous lifts have proven that he is among the strongest bodybuilders of all time.

Where did I say he did 500lbs for 12 reps? I said 12 reps on the 215lb dumbell row. In Yates' 93 book he mentions that he benches over 500lbs. I have no reason to believe he was lying.

How about 1400lb calf raises?  :o

I think 140s for shoulder press after a chest workout is equivalent to about 170s before a chest workout....so if Nasser can shoulder press 170s in 2000 I can believe that at his strongest he was able to move 200.

IF YOU WATCHED HIS VIDEOS YOU WOULD SEE IS FORM IS NEAR PERFECT ON EVERYTHING.  comparing his form to ronnies or MOST pros is like comparing apples to oranges. his form had nothing to do with his injuries..his training style did.

Some examples of his lifts:

200 lb dumbell shoulder press for 1 and a half reps.  By the way NO ONE has ever done this before besides Huge Nasser.

495 lb incline barbell press for reps (picture in Flex)

Deadlifts up to 735 lbs

255 lb EZ curl bar curls for 6 reps (Nasser part 3 video)

160 lb dumbell press for 12 reps (Nasser part 3 video)

200 lb dumbell pullovers for 4 reps

etc.


Layne Norton did 150's for 5. Are you trying to say the Layne Norton is almost as strong as Nasser on some of his lifts?
