http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/Petronas_Towers.html

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Tapering twin towers (connected by a sky bridge) share an Islamic-influenced geometrically polygonal plan. Featured extensively in "Entrapment", a cool action movie starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones.

At 1483 feet (452m) tall, the tallest building in the world at the date of its completion, measured to the highest point. However, the Sears Tower in Chicago still has the highest occupied building floor, more than 200 feet higher than the highest occupied floor of the Petronas Towers.

It's not - unless you include the radio masts.
Taipei 101 is currently the tallest completed building. The Burj Dubai is already taller but it's not complete. When it is it will be the tallest structure ever built.

yes the mighty Sears still owns the Petronas towers, but...
several monsters now easily beat the Sears, most prominent being the Burj Dubai which is now sitting at around 2000 feet and still has some 650 ft to go :o

Yeah that building is going to be INSANE!! I've always wanted to go to Dubai. Looks like a sick place.
No doubt about it...

yes, by the next decade they will have more supertalls than new york, chicago and hong kong combined, i dont understand how they will fill them all. plus the palm, the world, etc, craziest place in the world right now, a place where nothing is too far fetched.
if they go through with the Al Burj it will dwarf the burj dubai....hhhahaha

Haha yeah, makes you wonder how tall future buildings might be. It sounds like this one will be over 1km tall :o :o

But yeah Dubai looks awesome. Reminds me of kinda like another Vegas type place.
No doubt about it...
