Affliction clothing
« on: December 08, 2007, 12:55:11 PM »

Okay, so I was watching the Hatton-Mayweather weigh-in last night on Sky and I couldn't help but notice that Hatton was wearing an Affliction t-shirt.

I keep hearing people rag on about Tapout clothing here and I was wondering - is this just as embarrassing to wear in public or is Affliction clothing actually good? I did a bit of research on it and it is endorsed by Randy Couture amongst others

What is the Getbig view on Affliction?

What if it's a 'throwback'?  Doubly gay or less gay?

Affliction just started producing fight clothing this year when they signed deals with a bunch of fighters. They've been making t-shirts for a while now that had nothing to do with clothing. Lot of celebrities wear their stuff. 50+ dollars for a t-shirt is a little overpriced but they do have some interesting designs.

You're a fag regardless so wear what you want. Beast that rolling thunder, BEAST IT!!!!!!!!!

hahaha, I wouldn't wipe my ass with that South Pole jersey he has on in that pic, let alone wear it.

You should buy some Affliction clothing. Hopefully any upstanding white person knocks it right off you.  :D

hahaha, who the hell wears Sprawls outside of training? Only dorks and people that don't actually train. Cracks me up when these retards on the other MMA forums make quips like "I wear my Sprawls out to the club they're so comfortable." Only thing gayer than that was BigJ claiming to shoulder press 315 at a bodyweight of 110.  ::)

Tapout clothing is so TJ Maxx now.  Affliction has 6 months before it gets there.

Affliction makes some great shirts, great fit and awesome materials... really nice higher end shirts.. not crappy t-shirts like tap out!

and nice designs as well, though I stay away from the ones with the fighter names on them.

Riiiiigh...especially since they have absolutely nothing to do with cage fighting..!? a few of them feature a fighter name on the back, that's about it, most of them don't.

if i wear any kind of fight oriented gear outside of training its b/c im dressing comfortably like goin to walmart or something, and i only wear stuff not recognized by the tuff nube crowd....... i.e. ill rock a vitamins and minerals t shirts or my guerilla grappling gear etc... that way if someone really does train then they come up and strike a conversation and i dont get the usual tapout meatheads coming over talkin trash........ i also cant wear full contact fighter anymore to work..... to many guys saying there where golden gloves champions to me lol

Affliction's been around for almost 10 years now. They just started sponsoring fighters THIS year. They had nothing to do with the sport for the other years. The designs are pretty cool but I wouldn't wear them on the basis that most hollywood celebrities have already beaten the styles to death. Look like a sheep in one.
