In todays world the answer for me would be for lewis to have watched from the front row and taken notes.. however; with that being said, today's competitors have a very narrow margin point wise between the winner and placing second.... early 70's the sport was still in the stages of looking at Bodybuilding as a "freak" thing and not as a complete all around athletic schulptured person. Money nor sponsorship was there in the 70s... the Competitive level that Schwarzenegger, Columbu, Zane, and Dickerson brought to the table raised the standard, the criticle eye of the judges (as well as their over all expectations) proved the groundwork as well as the new frame work for the "modern aged" Mr. O. By todays standards, I do not think that winners as Arnold, Franco, Chris and definatly NOT Sergio would place in the top 4 and pending the day may not make top two for pose down... Like the cig. commercial "We've come a long way baby".... and Bodybuilding as a profession has..we just need to get the MONEY behind the program for both the Women as well as the men...
