It's hard to say.....if a person or even a dog broke through the ice on a frozen lake and was struggling I don't think I'd just be able to watch or scream for help w/o also trying to rescue them myself.   Hopefully I'll never be in that situation to find out. :-\

It's hard to say I guess...it would have to depend on the situation.  If someone was being eaten by a great white shark, odds are less that I'd jump in on that one if it were a stranger :-[  If it were my husband I'd probably try to do something though.

Consider this scenario: someone is lined up in front of a firing squad, or their name is on a list to be killed.
You have the ability to trade places with them. Who would you trade places with?

This is a loaded question because it really depends on the situation.  I have a couple of friends, who in the right situation, I'd get between them and death. 

That said, my wife and my kid brother are the hands down, I'd die for them without a doubt answer.
