Trey Brewer inclining 150s.........for 35 reps?!
« on: March 01, 2008, 03:38:02 AM »
OKay I am not one to call bs on lifting claims but this seems a bit far fetched....

http://www.xtremefitness-sc.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=2602&g2_page=3

My guess is that he did anywhere from 8-15 still a good lift...

DW,

Jesse, like the rest of us, was just a little piece of God on here for a field trip who didn't know it.

I know the boys from Xtreme very well, they are a good bunch of boys from Lexington, SC.  They have Trey there about once a month to train and have a little demo/promotion for BSN.

At the last one they had there were about 25-30 people there while he was training, and the said it was true; he banged out 35 reps w/ the 150s.  When I saw that claim I said the same thing (I though they were counting by 2's), and when I talked to Jeff (the owner) he said it was unreal, he just threw them up like nothing...

On a side note, that gym is very bodybuilder/powerlifter friendly...you all know how hard it can be to find a good, clean, old-school gym, and that's exactily what X-treme is...if you're in the area check it out...
The dancing's over. Now it gets dirty.

Hopefully no one believes this nonsense.

Why not....we havenīt seen the range and the speed he used on his reps (which will be a major factor for
getting high reps).
Even with high speed and limited range of motion, 150 for 35 is very impressing, but i believe that it can be done by a few very strong bodybuilders weighing more than 300lbs.

Marunde couldn't do anywhere near 35 reps with a pair of 150's on the incline and neither can anyone else.

Name me a bodybuilder who could do so.
Just one.

Pressing stamina drops dramatically from 15-20 reps, even with considerably "light" weight.

Marunde doing 150 for 35? No.
i saw a video of him doing something like 8-10 with the 150's and even that was a struggle, people have no fuccking idea of how many reps 35 is with a weight that heavy, even Bill Kazmaier couldn't have done that and he makes Brewer look like a 10 year old girl stregthwise.

hjahahahhahahaaa, oh brother another jackass who believes every strength claim a pro bb'er makes just because they're a pro, Ronnie COULDN'T TOUCH 35 fuccking reps with a pair of 150's and he only did 70% of the rep anyway. ::)

What did ben white do for 44 reps? 100 lbs right?
What does ben flat bench? What does coleman bench?

Why the fuck are some people so gullible. If there were people doing this you'd see it as recorded feats, widely reported feats, on youtube, live exhibitions, etc etc.  But guess what...it isn't happening. Kinda like Trey doing 675 for 15 on squats....hahahaha.

Exactly.

People are CLUELESS...and people who comment in this thread have probably never even done 35 reps for upper body with a light weight. Pick up an 80 lbs DB and do 35 reps on chest presses. First 20 reps will be pretty easy. Rep 21 will be a fucking killer. Rep 22 even worse, rep 23 a nightmare...all the way up to 35.  you hit a wall pretty quick. Even legs that are made for high rep endurance with heavy weights need rest pausing when you're doing 30 reps unless it's a featherweight.

I was just gonna mention big Kaz. Kaz couldn't have done it. There is NO evidence of this EVER happening in iron history..it's absolute bullshit and I laugh at people trying to think if it could just be possible.
