- charlotte
- atlanta

NHL

In the NFL, you can never predict who is going to be good.  Houstonand Cleveland just missed the playoffs and Arizona has the potential to do some damage.  As fas as St. Louis, they were in the Super Bowl a few years ago

nfl was hard to do
I would even keep the nfl as is

I don't watch baseball.

NBA and NHL need some contraction.

I agree. The talent level on most teams is pretty close. The qb is the x factor. I think the browns will be very good this year. Also, if the texans where not in the AFC south , they would be a playoff team.

why would you contract these teams?

I know the browns have very passionate fans and they sell out all of their games which is why they were awarded a franchise almost immediately after modell took them to baltimore

as for my pirates, our owners make no effort to become a winning team and people are starting to catch on to that after 16 fucking years

when they win we come out to see them, the same can be said about every team

they need new ownership and a salary cap just like the nfl, finally they will be competitive and people will come out to see them

isn't gonna happen because the mlb doesn't want small markets contending with new york and boston

The Pirates are over 100 years in the same city, way too much history to get rid of. There was probably talks abot contracting the Pats in the early 90's and look what happened. The NFL is a crapshoot, Cleveland could win the AFC. Relocation might be a better option for some of these teams.

The talent is getting so leveled out in the NFL. Every year a new team can come out of nowhere to win it all. That's what makes it so great nowadays. God bless the NFL!!!!

The NFL is tops in the United States. in my mind, no other major sport comes close in popularity.

I agree, football is America's new past - time. The sport mirrors the country perfectly.

yes we have 5 world series titles which is tied for 4th best with 4 other teams, until 2004 we had just as many titles as the red sox

you cannot contract a team with that history

also why do you not have the marlins on your list?

there is always talk of moving them because the average high school baseball team attracts just as many fans and none of the teams on your list are mentioned in that way

make your own picks.

all the leagues would be better if there was less teams.

some of the teams you mention are capable of winning
ex:tampa bay in mlb is ten games over .500 at the start of june despite one of the lowest payrolls
no contraction for me
