Ok, I've got some Iron Woody bands to help me with my lifts. Thing is, I'm finding it hard to get a lot out of them so far. They are 41 inches long and I was using them while squatting today. I have pairs of the lowest three resistances. I'm coming back from a back injury and started today with just 130kg squats 5x6, 1x10 with the lowest resistance bands I have. I didn't feel a whole lot of resistance from them and was considering doubling them up. This is hard to explain, but I don't mean using two pairs at once, rather looping one pair over the bar twice, doubling the distance the bands stretch and so increasing the tension that way. I think it could work, though I'm afraid it may damage the bands and also that it may be too much of an increase in tension.
I am going to use the bands on the bench as well and was wondering the about the set up there. Considering the length of the bands I have I was thinking of using one band and looping it under the bench and onto the bar on either side.
I was wondering what arrangements you guys had come up with that may help? I know these bands have great potential for my training and I was looking for a few alternative and novel ideas. Any constructive input appreciated
(Hopefully my explanation wasn't too unclear!)
