RNC money dilemma
« on: July 17, 2008, 08:28:07 PM »
Obama earned $52 mil last month.  He'll likely have 250 to $300 mil to spend on campaign ads.  that's not even counting the anti-war 527 groups.

Mccain is limited to $84 mil via the public finance agreement - BUT - the Republican national committee, which currently has a few hundred million bucks to get ALL republican senators/congressmen elected, will give some of that to mccain to match obama.

Obama is sending 20% of all his donations to help DNC with state races.

Is the RNC going for broke here?  Do they figure (juding by the two senate runoffs that dems suprisingly won by a mile) that the senate is somthing they can't win, but the Presidency is something they can?  Putting all their $ in that basket?
