USC might have lost early enough in the year to still be there in the end.

holy shit, i almost logged back in last night while watching that game, that little Jacquez Rodgers ate up that USC defense, 186 yards rushing from a 5'6" 185 pounder. :o

Last year, didn't the #1 team lose like 6 or 7 different weeks? LSU had 2 losses and still got in,so I totally agree with that. If USC goes undefeated the rest of the year and the big boys all drop one along the way, you can bet money they will be back in there. Thursday night football on ESPN is a curse for away teams, has been for years.

Exactly, when you add in the fact that the SEC and the Big 10 have championship games it could add up to a few teams having at least 1 loss and still be in the mix for the championship.

yeah the problem is that LSU or any other SEC team can lose 2 games and still get in due to the strength of the SEC and so many teams in the conference being ranked high.

Yeah, #1 was dropping left and right. The problem is that the Pac-10 is awful this year. USC is the only ranked team right now. So, unlike LSU, they don't have any more chances to really prove who they are. LSU was playing a top 25 team pretty much every week, and their losses came to good SEC teams, not Oregon State, who looked like the worst team in the country last week.

That being said, I think USC is a top 5 team, but not the best.

USC Came out and beat themselves. there is no reason they should have lost to OSU...Oklahoma is clear number 1. SC dosent deserve to be in the Top 10 with that mental breakown

USC is still a good team they just got beat by EXACTLY the right guy in that 5'6" running back, that USC defense is very big and powerful but they just didn't have any idea how to contain that kid, you could see the frustration in those Trojan LB's and DB's.

I'm real interested to see how the Georgia and Bama games plays out this weekend. I think Bama, even though being ranked in the Top 10, is the real sleeper team in the SEC that has a damn good shot of being there at the end. Everybody is talking about Georgia,Florida and LSU in the SEC, and kinda forgetting about Bama. One thing that sucks about the SEC though, is even if you beat a conference foe in the regular season, you still may have to beat them again in the SEC title game.

Bama is playing tremendously on defense, they've got a couple of big play defensive backs and an absolute monster nose tackle clogging up the middle at 6'5" 370 pounds, Coffey is running the ball well for them too which is what they needed along with Julio Jones.

Looks like the Gators are gonna go down to the Rebels. Georgia could take control of the SEC East with a win tonight, should be a good one.

another crazy week in CF, Georgia destroyed by Bama especially in the first half, Florida losing at home to Ole Miss, Wisconsin losing to Michigan, looks like Okalahoma will go up to #1 with their blowout of TCU.

Yep, starting to look like last year all over again. I tell you what, college football has changed alot in the last 10 years. The teams used to have a pretty good feeling who they should beat just by looking at the schedule, not so much anymore.

All Nick Saban, dude is one hell of a coach. Two years in and competeing for the NC. I got a feeling they may meltdown later this year at LSU, especially if its a night game.

No real stand out games this week.

Ohio State vs Wisconsin
Oregon vs USC
Auburn vs Vandy

nice win for the Uconn Huskies vs Louisville the other night.did it with their back up QB.
Edsall is a good coach and trying to make them a "known" team.
up next is a real tough game for them against NC.

and I gotta give props to Texas,Colt McCoy is a damn good QB.did anyone see that TD run of his last week :o good stuff.
I think they play Oklahoma next week!

Missouri/Nebraska is on ESPN on Saturday night, it's in Lincoln and that game is never a gimme when you play in Lincoln, probably will be a high scoring game.

the Big 12 is awesome this year, so many great QB's, Daniel, Bradford, Harrell, McCoy, Josh Freeman, Zac Robinson, Todd Reesing, insane, it's gonna be a hell of a draft next year.
