Wow, caught this at the gym. These creatures, torture women so badly, they try to torch themselves with kerosene, in order to escape it. A whole hospital is set-up for women burn victims. Some pretty horrific footage that I'm surprised CNN shows. Some women were at a park, and some guy walked over and made one get on her knees and then shot her in the head, then warned other women.
Goes on to talk about politics, as the journalist interviews a few men, who say, "this is how women are in the country" blaming the women for the violence they recieve.

the attitudes are more cultural than religious

just because someone claims to a Muslim doesn't mean they are a good one
