Joe Merino (sheep) speak on this.  I heard you had a couple of divorces under your belt by age 18.

Simple, then. How old were you when you first got married and divorced?

why does she have to marry the guy? Just so that her mom can act like she's still on her high horse?

Maybe she (thinks she) loves him. You don't know that kid or her family. Seems like you just assume a cynical stance because you disagree politically.

A 17 year old is still a child. It's her parents responsibility to counsel her away from rash decisions, and from compounding one mistake with two.  but they're going to sacrifice her on the altar of ambition. nice.

That's your take. You are entitled to your opinion, but as I said, you don't know them. I would say they are showing their daughter that there are consequences for her actions. Our society could collectively use this lesson.

Sorry,  I personally don't think a 17 year old is anymore ready for marriage than a 25yr old.(male or female)

I think one should experience life living on your own, earning your own money, sowing you wild oats, see places outside of your home state/country before you settle down with a spouse with a eye on having a family.

At the age of 25, you have outgrown the  life of a 17 year old, same thing between 25 years and 30 years, etc

I couldn't agree more. You don't really know who you are until you are 28-30. But if you fuck up and knock some chick up; then those options go out the window.

This is amusing:

A recent study by the  Barna Research Group throws extreme doubt on these estimates. Barna released the results of their poll about divorce on 1999-DEC-21. 1 They had interviewed 3,854 adults from the 48 contiguous states. The margin of error is ±2 percentage points. The survey found:

11% of the adult population is currently divorced.

25% of adults have had at least one divorce during their lifetime.

Divorce rates among conservative Christians were significantly higher than for other faith groups, and much higher than Atheists and Agnostics experience.

A 17 year old is not a child anymore than an 18 year old is an adult. Everyone is different. I know a now 28 year old girl who was very mature when she was 14. She had a real job at her chosing at that age and now owns a thriving business. I do agree with you bout your other point. Imagine being Gov and having the chance of being the first female VP. That is enough to make MOST people throw their morals down the tube.

As they plan to marry and she is now in high school does she have a career as a burger flipper lined up?

Or will the parents support them financially to keep up appearences?

I feel sorry for the guy...dude, want a peace of ass, she wasnt on birth control. He splashed off in her..now he is being forced to marry her.

Lesson #1: should have made her swallow instead instead.
Lesson #2: should have slipped her a morning after pill
Lesson #3: Her mom has 5 kids, that should have indicated her fertility level
Lesson #4: Now the media will be following him 24/7..no more side pieces of ass for him.

CQ, this isn't an inner city kid, of course she will be taken care of, but the important thing is (and the libs fail to look at this because most think murder is ok)she is not going to abort the child. I realize thats not a big deal to you people but.......

I don't. Why would he think a sixteen year old girl being raised in a strict religious family be on the pill?

Throw a condom on your shit or became a baby's daddy.
