you guys do realize that if we do a 315 for reps..i'll take 30 or more to win it right?i would suggest another 500 for reps challenge..but then again i did pull two sets of 12 with it a few weeks ago.. and that's just not fair.
Here's my suggestion:Rep contest with 445-500 lbs.Belt allowed. But here's the fun part - NO STRAPS this time. What's your thought on that?It will be a bit of a test of the grip strength as well.
I dont think anyone needed the straps but there are some people who will and that would discourage them from entering.
LOL i would need the straps for sure i got pussy hand strength man but i like the idea i may be able to squeeze out one rep...LOL i know im a puss either way im in i actually always dead over/over so maybe i could do decent with an over/under grip.
try working with an over/over thumb lock grip, you may like it
sorry for the ignorance but whats that?
its where you grip the bar over hand, with your index finger over laping your thumb. The weight pushing down on your thumb and you pulling up putting stress back on the thumb from your index finger creates an anatomical "strap" if you will. The only bad thing is ive seen guys pull their thumb nails out, but if over/under is not for you this may be.
I agree, lets just have a competition. And squat is fine with me, although I'd preferred another deadlift competition. I have no problem with people using the monolift or even if there's a suited competition, if someone wants to use canvas or multiply suits and extra long wraps.Just as long as the squat is USPF/USAPL/IPF depth. That's the only thing I wish for, real solid squat depth.Like Kazmaier:
I did (yes crippled)Jason
Really? You pull 700 without, dont you?
Within about an inch of lockout, yes And I have no endurance in my grip. im working on that though.Jason
