Is there any high protien rice or oats?
« on: December 12, 2008, 09:43:23 PM »
Considering how cheap both are, I thought that maybe there are some special blends just for body builders.  Any recommendations?

Wow no responses?  The best I found was 5 grams per 1/4 cup of uncooked brown / wild rice.  I heard that researchers were trying to come up with a strain of rice that would be high in protien, thought maybe someone on here would have some more info

That is because it's a plant and plants are not sources high in protein/amino acids. Remember, plant based proteins are AT BEST absorbed around 75%.
