BCAA's are the most important thing in my cabinet, minus a full fledged protein powder.

Do you take them like any other pill or chew them?

You could chew them but I wouldn't recommend it though.

I take 4 BCAA's before I train everyday. It's almost like a meal due to the extremely large size of each horse pill. This is a must have for anyone.

I just use the powder, usually bought from trueprotein.com.

I add it into my protein powder, either pre or post workout.

I've tried mixing it into my custom/pre-made shakes too. I never use over 5% for two reasons:

1) you can only add 5 or 10%, not in between. Above 5% it tends to taste like chalk.
2) I'm getting so many Grams of BCAA's from the pre/post workout shakes, I don't really need more than that anyhow.

I wish somebody could come up with some way to make BCAA's taste a little less like you just licked a chalkboard!

Scivation's xtend is great.  The lemonade and apple flavors are awesome.

Can anyone answer me why people even take BCAA's in this day and age when a whey protein isolate drink will provide all the BCAAs you will ever need?

Why the need to take BCAAs at all?

There are threads that go many pages deep on the value of BCAA's.  You can find your answer there.

Xtend has probably the best flavoring, especially watermelon for BCAA's.  There are other bulk powder lines you can buy for the unflavored stuff.  I personally wouldn't use the caps/tabs due to cost issues.  Plus the PIA of swallowing all those pills throughout the day.

Supervol is basically Superdrol. It is liver toxic so taking a liver aide is always recommended, avoid the milk thistle based products until you finish the cycle, Liv 52 is good, or Biochem Liver Support is equivalent. The product is designed for the user to gain lean dry muscle mass depending on the diet, the product can have somewhat of a diretic affect if the diet is clean/low carb. I will say if your doing squats or deadlifts while using the product do those exercises last for the duration of the cycle due to the lower back pumps... If taken correctly proper diet, avoiding alcohol, and drinking plenty of water the user can look to experience anywhere from 8-15lbs. I'm not going to feed you crap and say "oh yeah 25lbs," but the listed gains are very much attainable!

8-15lbs sounds good.  But how does one prevent "gyno?"

In some cases it will cause some gyno.. I would recommend Novedex XT.. Or Reversitol by Iforce throughout the cycle at maybe just two a night prior to falling asleep.. This will keep the estrogen down.. It will also like real tamoxifin will not affect your cholesterol. Now the Supervol will mess with your cholesterol so I would recommend some Cq10 and red yeast rice to keep those cholesterol levels in check.. Maybe also some garlic bulb extract. And once finished run Novedex or Reversitol for another month..

If I had to choose between having either whey or xtend to choose from in my supplement program, I'd choose xtend.  I don't think there is anything you can take during your workout that will lead to weight loss, muscle gain and strength gains.
