Where to take this girl out on a date

I met this really cool girl who runs her own restaurant. I used to frequent it quite a bit when I was working in the area and managed to strike up quite a good rapport with her. My last day of work she asked me for my number (go me for not picking up the signs earlier) and we started texting/sms'ing (whichever you prefer) each other now and again. Eventually it turned flirty and we agreed on meeting up this weekend for a drink. This girl is very classy, wildly independent and really smart, so much so that I almost feel out of my depth. I guess I'm to use to meeting drunken girls in clubs and have a quick roll in the hay. Anyway, I've been thinking quite a bit on where to take her. She's probably sick of seeing the inside of a restaurant so I doubt that's a good idea. However, it's also winter in London so anywhere outside would have her freezing her tits off (and I certainly don't want that). Any ideas?

can you cook?  Make her a meal at your place.  Or go to a wine tasting somewhere, it's more relaxed.  I was in the industry for a long time and i always liked going out to a new restaurant.  Since it's cold, maybe a place to go dancing, a fun place like a retor dance club.  That way you both can pull out the old style moves and have fun.

What about lunch and a museum? London being a major city must have some great museums. Hit a museum for a few hours, then go some place nice for a few drinks. Discuss what she likes for foods and favorite places to eat, then go there for the second date. Keep it casual but classy and different, but don't be cheap. Women hate guys that are cheap and often blow it right there 'cause some idiot friend told them not to spend much on the first date. The first few dates are the most important and are not the place to save money 'cause someone who knows nadda about women told you to take them to McDonalds or what ever...

I tried not being cheap and insisted to pay, but she almost demanded to go halfs and even paid for the taxi (we both came with cars but had something to drink so we decided not to risk driving) before I even had a chance to pull my wallet out. The topic of her favourite food did come up, which was handy in making it easier to plan future 'dates'. I think if I did suggest McDonalds, even just as a laugh, she would've thrown her drink in my face and walked out . The only problem I foresee is the fact that she loves art and opera and I'm a bit too uncouth to appreciate all that. Saying that, she did make a big effort in finding out the things I like (I left porn and computers games out) and suggested things we could do and places to go for future meets. It was quite refreshing seeing a girl also putting in the effort for a change.

I think it was more said tongue in the cheek than serious. She is very sassy and constantly push boundaries and would say and do pretty much anything under the right circumstances. The sad, ugly truth is that a person who will do what "you want all the time" has low self esteem and will eventually drive you crazy. That level of neediness will crowd people out of their own lives.
