UFC 93 Fight Night Bonuses Awarded In Dublin Ireland
« on: January 22, 2009, 07:01:17 PM »
Following UFC 93: Henderson vs. Franklin which took place from the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland, the UFC announced their fight night award winners for Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night, and KO of the night.

In a first for the company, two fights shared the fight of the night honor as the Marcus Davis and Chris Lytle bout, which was suspected to win the honor prior to the event, as well as Mark Coleman and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua took home an extra $40,000 for their efforts.

Although his bout did not end up being aired on PPV, Dennis Siver earned the Knockout of the Night honor with a third round spinning back kick KO of Nate Mohr.

Submission of the night went to Alan Belchar for his second round guillotine choke of Denis Kang. Although he appeared behind on the judges cards coming on the end of the second round, Belchar would secure the choke and force the tap at 4:36 of the round.

Each fight picked up the $40,000 bonus to go on top of their base salary as well as any sponsor money they may be paid.
