Finally trying to take it seriously...
« on: March 11, 2009, 09:00:53 PM »
Ive decided after being stuck at 160lbs for the past year + (and lifting my ass of at the gym!!!) to finally introduce something into my daily routine. I see it this way. Im going to end up spending money to gain muscle. Bottom line....Nothings free in this world...not even our own vanity....Anyway, so if Im going to spend a few hundred dollars to "boost" my workout and gain a few LB's of muscle where and what do I spend my hard earned cash on?!?! Ive tossed around the ideas of everything from sticking a needle in my ass, to "creatine pills" to McDonalds every night SuperSizeMe style...

Ive decided to start eating better and put something healthy in my body first and see what happens. Id rather see the money go towards the best supplement possible.....FOOOOOOD!!!

PLEASE!!!! Any and all input and revisions....

Wake up..530am
3 eggs scrambled with two slices honey flax whole wheat bread and a glass of milk

715am....Gym
20min treadmill walk or bicycle or eliptical...all very moderate
60min workout

9am protein shake

12am 1 can tuna 2 slices same bread

3pm egg salad sandwich

530pm protein shake

9pm chicken and brown rice or flounder and brown rice

Im gonna see how this will work out for me...Id feel better knowing what im doing but I dont think too bad for my first attempt...

Anyway 160lbs......and counting....

Try  this:

Meal # 1:
6 whole eggs scrambled in non-fat cooking spray
1 cup oatmeal (no milk or sugar just artificial sweetener)

Meal # 2:
Whey shake (2 scoops in water....should be 40 grams at least)

Meal # 3:
1 can tuna
1 baked potato or 1 cup of brown rice ( butter spray)
1-2 cups green beans

Meal # 4:
8 eggwhites scrambled
2 whole eggs
2 rice cakes (sugar-free jelly)

Meal # 5:
1 can tuna

Meal # 6:
chicken and brown rice or flounder and brown rice,
large green salad with vinegar/olive oil dressing

Before Bed:
2 scoops whey in water
1 cup non-fat cottage cheese

Drink 12-16 oz. water at each meal and as much water as possible during the course of the day.

You should gain solid mass with minimal if any fat gain.

Thats a solid start but hes a lean ass 160, I would shoot for a little more healthy fat. Add in a scoop or two of peanut butter(early in the day) and keep that protein pumpin through your veins like "Wes" has it. Cut out the cardio for a while and the best way to measure is take a pic and a month later compare or just get some measuring tape and tape yourself every month, good luck!

The mirror never lies!!  :)

Healthy fats such as olive oil, natty PB,and egg yolks are great.

Back in the day we "bulked" up ,but gained a ton of bodyfat.

I want to say you need more carbs in there.  Thats really the key to gaining weight.  Don't go to needles or McDonalds.  Creatine will help though.  Also do Cardio after lifting, not vice versa.
